Demographics Behind Massage

The ger, age range, and income level play significant roles in determining who receives massages.

Last year, 27 of women and 22 of men received a massage. Consumers with children under 18 years old at home are more likely to receive a massage compared to those without such responsibilities.

Income has an influence on the likelihood of getting a massage; while 39 of individuals earning over $100,000 per year had massages last year, only 17 of those making less than $50,000 did so.

Pn relief or management often ranks among the top reasons people discuss massage therapy with healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Recommations

Consumers who consult with healthcare professionals about massage are more likely to be recommed or encouraged for a massage based on their discussion. Among healthcare providers, doctors are most prone to recomm massage as an option.

Doctor Referrals

Almost half of all massage therapists receive referrals from physicians at least every six months.

Professional Overview

The number of registered massage therapists has increased by 4.6 over the past decade. The profession predominantly comprises females 81. Approximately 42 of massage therapists have a bachelor's degree or higher qualifications. Massage therapy isn't usually considered as their first career choice, regardless of the practice setting.
