In a strategic expansion of its business operations in response to the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Etihad rways - the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates - has now ventured into charter flight services. This innovative initiative caters to both business and leisure travelers who can customize their flight options according to their unique requirements.

This year, Etihad has successfully executed more than 500 charter flights encompassing passenger services, government missions, itarian efforts, and cargo transportation for the Government of Abu Dhabi as part of its extensive d program.

Etihad Wellness, a comprehensive health and safety program implemented by the rline, guarantees exceptional hygiene standards throughout every aspect of the customer journey on charter flights. This includes the introduction of Wellness Ambassadors - a pioneering industry practice where specially trned personnel offer essential travel health information and care both at ground level and during flights.

A distinctive feature of Etihad Wellness is its global COVID-19 insurance coverage included for all passengers, ensuring peace of mind as they embark on their journeys.

Etihad rways has also demonstrated its flexibility by chartering flights for sports teams. For example, in 2019 it provided a last-minute flight to Manchester City Football Club, enabling them to continue with their Asia pre-season tour despite initial delays.
